Designer Tees @ Topshop

(Holly Fulton, Jonathan Saunders, House of Jazz, Louise Gray, Roksanda Ilincic,
Craig Lawrence, Marios Schwab, Nazir Mazhar, Meadham Kirchhoff)
As a way to celebrate supporting 10 years of British Fashion and to support a charity which helps homeless people (Centrepoint) Topshop asked the past 20 recipients of the NewGen Award to design some rather brilliant tees.
(Richard Nicholl, Mary Katrantzou, Emma Cook, Gareth Pugh, Christopher Kane,
Michael Van Der Ham, JW Anderson, Peter Jensen, Erdem, Peter Pilotto)
My Favourites have got to be the beautiful, intricate, printed Erdem tee and the satisfyingly Danish tee by Peter Jensen.

Get Me To The Greek

My friends birthday gave us a cause for celebration during the week, not that we need any excuses. Going straight out from work we started the night with some delicious cocktails at Slug & Lettuce, Liverpool.

Dune Bug, Strawberry Mojito, Apple Vodka Mojito, The Classic Mojito, Porn Star Martini, Mojazzle

PORN STAR MARTINI
Playful exotic flavours! ABSOLUT Vanilia vodka and Passoã liqueur,
coupled with Funkin passion fruit purée and sugar syrup –
served with a ‘fizz tipple’ on the side!

Then we headed to Eureka Greek restaurant for the Birthday meal, it's not fancy but the food is so tasty and the atmosphere is cosy like you're part of the big Greek family. With a friendly waiter, good food and some wonderful wine-fuelled chatter we all had a lovely night.

What I wore...White crisp shirt (Zara) Pink Neoprene Dress (Primark) Grey Blazer (Topshop)
Handbag (Zara) Belt (River Island)

Stylist Magazine on my Iphone!

Stylist Magazine is distributed every week at my destination train station but when I arrive there I am often out of luck and they're all gone...I miss out on the must see Style List, the wonderful world news, the fabulous fashion pages, amazing articles and brilliant beauty pages. So you see when I don't manage to get a copy of Stylist I am pretty disappointed but sigh no more...

Floral Themed Style List

Stylist magazine has joined forces with the Google Currents App (for IPad & IPhone) and Google Play (for Android) so If I don't grab a hard copy of Stylist at the busy train station it's no sweat...I can just view it on my phone.
I'll still be holding out for the real thing to flick through at break time with friends, discussing what we'd love to wear/read/watch but it's nice to know it's all there on my phone just in case...Thank you Stylist.

Printed Trousers a La Olivia Palermo

I adore Olivia Palermo's style and what a perfect way to embrace the warmer weather without the worry of having perfect legs. The slightly cropped length of her trousers is beautifully elegant and the print keeps the look young and fresh. The high street is really wowing with this trend so bag yourself a pair for late Spring/early summer, I know I will be!

My High Street Picks

Floral Print Trousers (Zara) £29.99
Spring Flowers Trousers (Sister Jane at Topshop) £52

Floral Tapered Trousers (Next) £35

Sonia Spray Paint Trouser (Boohoo.com) £20
Tropical Print Trousers (Miss Selfridge) £39
Niquita Printed Chino Trousers (Boohoo.com) £25
To show the glorious pattern off I'll be teaming my printed trousers with some simple, italian style leather sandals, oversized bag, a soft, slouchy tee and classic shades.
Harp Leather Wedge Shoes with Cross Strap Detail (ASOS) £45,  White Tee (H&M) £3.99, Ray Ban Original Wayfarer Sunglasses (ASOS) £120, Large Rigid Shopper (Zara) £89.99

From Dull to Desk

This is the only pre-makeover picture I have of this dressing table from the first viewing of the house we went on to buy, the dark wood combined with dated handles and clutter made this piece of furniture look heavy and seriously un-stylish.

I new I wanted a funky chest of drawers or desk for our grey classic dining room but prices for the kind of thing I had in mind were a bit out of budget...

Charlton Chest of Drawers £675.00 Laura Ashley

Leonhard Pfeifer for John Lewis Abbeywood Cabinet £599
...So it was out with those ugly old handles and in with the hand sander and a bright pot of yellow paint! I removed the old three leafed mirror from the back of the dressing table and sanded down the whole thing then gave it three coats of glossy Delhi Bazaar 3 from Dulux.
With some new handles from B&Q the dressing table was transformed into a bright, modern (expensive looking) desk... we saved so much by up cycling this old furniture that we popped to Laura Ashley and bought this gorgeous 1930's style detective lamp which I absolutely adore.

Laura Ashley Coby Lamp
The original price was £78.75 but we snapped it up in the sale for £56.25!!! Along with a few old books it made our good as new piece of statement furniture look fabulous.
