Feeling Enviro-mental

Some supermarkets begrudgingly pass you a couple of plastic bags for your weekly shop, others charge a small fee for plastic bags and others give mini bags for lunches etc etc... but does it really work? In the supermarkets I go to the majority of people don't re-use their plastic bags and then toss their new ones straight into the bin when the contents are emptied out.
 It seems that most people don't really feel the pressure to be more environmentally conscious here in England, don't get me wrong there are plenty of die-hard recylers and many do try to re-use their plastic bags (proud smile to my folks here!) but that is certainly not the norm.
When I worked as an au-pair in Italy at least 5 years ago now the family I stayed with were barely seen with a plastic carrier bag, prefering instead to re-use the same canvas shoppers over and over until they looked vintage and really quite stylishly eco-friendly!

I've had it with plastic bags from now on and I am going to embrace a little love for the planet we live on and invest in 3 or 4 funky, re-usable shoppers. Here is my pick of the most stylish ones for all the green godesses out there!
